The Llano Economic Development Corporation Board is appointed by the City of Llano, City Council. The mission of the Llano Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) is to invest the City's designated economic development sales tax receipts into economic development projects, as prescribed by Texas law, for the benefit of the citizens of Llano.

2011-2012 were very exciting years for the LEDC as the board, with City Council's approval moved forward with the construction of a multipurpose events center. The facility was christened in April of 2012 as the first big event took place during Llano Crawfish Open. The team ropers loved the new facility and the Llano County Community Board has had the center booked almost every weekend since.

The three soccer fields have also been completed and host scores of soccer kiddos and parents each weekend.

The next phase of the project will include a showbarn which will be added on to the northwest corner of the events center. This showbarn will be used for the Llano Livestock Show each January and will be available for other functions throughout the year.

In early 2013 the Llano EDC began a partnership with LCRA Community and Economic Development group to create a strategic plan for Llano. Input was gathered during interviews with about 25 citizens. The plan will be made available on this website as soon as it is finalized.
