Multi-County Wildlife Program – 5 CEUs Offered

 

                There will be a Multi-County Wildlife Program on April 11, 2017 to be held at Thunder Hill Ranch, 2173 County Road 304, Llano 78643 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  This program is a joint effort between Mason, Menard, McCulloch, Gillespie, Kimble, and Llano Counties.  Five (5) continuing education units (CEUs) will be offered for attending this program. 

                The registration and welcome is from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.  Topics for the program include:  “Co-Mingling of Livestock and Wildlife” by Dr. John Tomecek from Texas AgriLife Research and Extension Center in San Angelo; “Plant ID (Categories and Species)” by Steve Nelle, retired NRCS from San Angelo; “Prescribed Burning and Pasture Walk (Plant ID)” by Butch Taylor, retired Extension specialist and also Steve Nelle; “What Makes a Great Lease Agreement” by Jason Johnson, Extension Economist from Stephenville; and “Quail Talk” by Dr. John Tomecek. Then there will be an evaluation and handing out of the CEU certificates.  A catered lunch will be provided.  Cost of the program will be $25.00 if you RSVP before April 8, 2017.  After that date, cost will be $30.00.  Please RSVP to any of the following counties: Mason 325-347-6459; Menard 325-396-4787; McCulloch 325-597-1295; Gillespie 830-997-3452; Kimble 325-446-2620; Llano 325-247-5159.
