John Hallowell, editor of the Highland Lakes Weekly, will discuss his recent book, Lake LBJ and the Rebirth of Kingsland: 1951- 1970. Written from interviews with old-timers and newspaper accounts from those exciting years, the book tells part of the story of "Lyndon's Lake" and the small town of Kingsland, and reveals a different side of a legendary American president and the huge impact of his intermittent presence just across the lake that bore his name. Copies of the book will be available for purchase, and refreshments will be served. Please call the library at 325-379-1174 to reserve your seat.
