THE TEXAS PROSPECTORS FOURTH ANNUAL GET-TO-GATHER AND SWAP MEET EVENT

WHERE: The Old Llano Community Center - 2 miles West of LLano on CR 152

WHEN: February 16, 2019

TIMES: 8:00 am - 5:00pm

WHAT IS THIS EVENT ABOUT?? - This event is for Prospectors, Rock Collectors, Treasure hunters, and Metal Detecting enthusiast to come together to be able to sit down and or walk around and talk with others without having to pay to get in or buy something.  Yet be able to see equipment and get info.  Also, the event will provide a designated area set aside for NON-COMMERCIAL persons that have equipment they own but would like to sell or barter for some other equipment.   The Llano Community center has a large room, yes inside so rain, sleet or snow it goes on, chairs and tables for getting together and vendors along with a connected large room that half of the floor is dirt for a combined space of almost 10,000 sq ft. Great for panning and metal detecting demo's inside.   We have a limited number of spaces for COMMERCIAL VENDORS in ONLY prospecting equipment, Rock collecting equipment, and Metal Detectors. Chapters of the GPAA, Rock clubs and Metal detecting clubs not wanting to sell items can have free booth space to advertise their club but booths are not required for members to come.  Chapters or Clubs wanting to sell items will pay fees same as Commercial vendors.  This event is also open to the public for educational and curiosity purposes. COST TO GET INTO THIS EVENT - FREE

HOW WILL THIS EVENT BE PAID FOR: Vendor fees of $35.00 and a raffle item for a 10'X10' booth and hopefully but not required, except as noted above, other CHAPTER AND CLUB OR INDIVIDUAL donations for a silent auction.  ALL money remaining after costs will go to the RED TOP JAIL RESTORATION FUND.  Other than very few and small reimbursements.  No person gets paid for doing this event. 

This year’s donations for the raffle prizes are a GARRETT AT GOLD METAL DETECTOR grand prize donated by Garrett Metal Detectors who has been such a great sponsor of this event.  Three GARRETT Z-LINK that makes your Garrett detector go wireless from American Metal Detectors.  Plus there will be a number of silent auction prizes to win at the end of day (4 pm).

W. C. Jameson – world famous Treasure Hunter, Author, singer song writer, and in the Treasure Hunters Hall of Fame will be there with plenty of books to sell and sign.

We are very happy to have Keith Wills.   Keith owns and operates East Texas Metal Detectors at [email protected] and BrokenDetector.com and is one of the founders of WWATS (World Wide Association of Treasure Seekers).   Keith will be bringing metal detectors, metal detecting equipment, used, discounted and new to sell.  And, he is a walking, breathing wealth of information in all things that are metal detecting.  You can talk to him and get him to explain all phases of metal detecting.  Also, go to his web site and see if there is anything you want to buy ahead of time so he can bring it to you.

Kay and Mike Judd and their wire wrapped handmade, actually all hand made from finding the rocks, cutting and polishing them and then Kay wraps them.  How anyone can do that much beautiful one of a kind work for the price she prices the jewelry she sell I don’t know.  But she does and my wife has a lot of her works.  They are at www.facebook.com/M.and.K.Judd.Creations  look and see what they have and get them to bring them to you at the event.  Or, buy them at the booth.

The Round Rock GPAA (Gold Prospectors Association of America) will be there with a booth to let you know what you can do to join.  Also along with the RRGPAA will once again be DREDGZILLA on display.  Made by Ron Self you have to see this thing.
