Zen Pattern Design is a pleasurable, meditative act that starts with no preconceived ideas as to the result.difference between it and abstracted doodling is emphasis on relaxation and focus. Everyone has experienced that creative moment when they enter 'the Zone' and time passes without notice or stress.
Learning a few easy patterns, shading and embellishing as you please leads to confidence and great small-motor muscle coordination. The patterns are non-representational and work in any orientation, so there is no 'wrong' drawing. Beginning with a small piece of quality paper and an archival ink pen ensures that your drawing will be beautiful-and you'll finish it today!
ANYONE, even so-called non-artists, can draw with a little time, simple materials and frequent practice. For the experienced artist, Zen Pattern Design can unlock creativity at the beginning of any artistic session, or kick-start you out of a slump. For everyone, a small finished piece can provide creative satisfaction.
The materials you'll receive are;
printout sheet of simple patterns
3.5" square pieces of quality paper
Pigma Micron pen
Graphite pencil
Tortillon (for shading)
