Starting June 1, 2014, TDA changed their policy about testing.  They no longer go out to the counties to test.  It is now called “Convenience Testing” where you will have to go to one of 22 locations around the state to take the exam.  The cost to take the exam is $64 per exam and you will need to set up an appointment with Texas Department of Agriculture to schedule your exam.

After passing the test, an additional $100 is required by Texas Department of Agriculture to receive your license.  Within a 5 year period after receiving your license, you will need to get a total of 15 continuing education units (CEUs) with at least 2 hours in Laws/Regulations and 2 hours in Integrated Pest Management to keep your license active.

To pre-register for this class, please contact the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service-Llano County office at 325-247-5159 or 325-247-4849 by June 21, 2019.
