CASTELL GRIND DATE CHANGE NOTICE

CASTELL IS IN THE PATH OF TOTALITY DURING THE UPCOMING SOLAR ECLIPSE ON APRIL 8th, 2024.

DUE TO GROWING CONCERNS OF THE CITY OF LLANO AND CASTELL WITH STRESSED RESOURCES, INCREASED TRAFFIC AND LIMITED ACCOMMODATIONS, WE HAVE MADE THE DECISION TO MOVE THE 2024 RACE DATE TO APRIL 13th, 2024.

We understand that this is an inconvenience and possibly a road block for many of you who have already made reservations and we sincerely apologize for the headaches this may cause. The safety of our racers is our first priority, and we feel that holding the race on the originally announced day of April 6th would not be safe with the high projections of increased vehicles and tourists to the Hill Country and surrounding areas.

The allure of the Castell Grind has always been its remote location, desolate roads and limited traffic. Our goal is to maintain all the things that make Castell special. We look forward to seeing you on the new race date.

As a reminder 2024 Castell Grind registration opens Wednesday, November 1st, 2023, at noon.
