Cowboy Christmas for Kids, Llano

Last year, while reading the newspaper’s “letters to Santa” from the youth of the county, we were appalled at how many children were asking for basic necessities over toys. We wanted to do something about that, and so we started raising money, and organized a rodeo event to draw attention to our cause.

In 2021 we spent $22,135 on the children of Llano County:
$ 7310 on 175 boxes of food for the 3 weeks of Christmas break
$ 1700 on beds for kids with no place to sleep
$ 1250 on Llano High School students for basic necessities like clothes & toiletries
$ 1875 on Llano Jr. High School students for basic necessities like clothes & toiletries
$ 5000 on Llano Elementary School students for basic necessities & a toy
$ 5000 on on Packsaddle Elementary School students for basic necessities & a toy

Our event for this year (team roping & barrel racing) will be on Nov. 11-13th at the JLK Arena in Llano. While the event will certainly be great, it will be your personal donations to the youth of Llano that will make the Cowboy Christmas for Kids a success.
