KERRVILLE—The League of Women Voters of the Hill Country Texas scheduled a meeting on Thursday, November 21 at 7:00pm. The Zoom meeting can be attended by contacting the League at the following: president@lwvhillcountrytexas.org. The public is invited to participate.
Cory Edmundson, the President and CEO of Peterson Health, will speak on National Rural Health Day, which is November 21. Peterson Health celebrated its 75th anniversary serving the healthcare needs of Kerrville and nine surrounding counties in July 2024. Peterson Health has been named a Top Rated Rural Hospital in America.
Mr. Edmundson's talk will present information about what has made Peterson Health successful, and the successes and challenges facing rural health care in Texas. He will also cover the Texas state legislative priorities in rural healthcare and answer questions on the state of rural healthcare and the future direction in bringing Healthcare and Wellness to our communities.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan and nonprofit civic organization encouraging active participation in government and does not endorse or oppose candidates for elected office. Anyone aged 16 and older can become a member by paying the annual dues. The Hill Country Texas League serves six counties: Bandera, Blanco, Gillespie, Kendall, Kerr, and Llano.
