2022 LLANO LIGHTED CHRISTMAS PARADE

The Llano Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Annual Lighted Christmas Parade in downtown Llano, on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 6:00pm

The Chamber has made arrangements for Santa’s transportation during the parade, therefore, we will have only one Santa in the parade. Join in the parade FUN with floats, cars, pick-ups, trailers, 18-wheelers, bicycles, bands, motorcycles, or people walking – All with lights on!

LOTS AND LOTS OF LIGHTS!
For Safety Reasons, absolutely no candy or other items may be thrown to the crowd.

Judging will begin at 5:00 p.m., and awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the commercial and noncommercial categories will be given, along with a Grand Prize overall. Please check in at Parade Headquarters, 1110 Berry St., no earlier than 4:00 PM and be in line and illuminated for judging BY 5:00 PM.

The undersigned agrees to participate and abide by the regulations of the Llano Lighted Christmas Parade. The Llano Chamber of Commerce and designated officials are not liable in any capacity for property damage, personal injury or death arising from participation in the Llano Light Christmas Parade.

PARADE APPLICATION

No parade permit shall be required for the following:

The armed forces of the United States of America, the military forces of the state, and the forces of the police and fire departments acting within the scope of their duties.

Funeral processions proceeding by vehicle, by the most reasonable route from a funeral home, church or residence of a deceased, to the place of service or place of interment.

Sidewalk processions which observe and comply with traffic regulations and traffic control devices, utilizing that portion of a sidewalk nearest the street, but at no time more than one-half of the sidewalk.

Candy, gum, beads, paper or any other article(s) shall not be thrown from any type of vehicle during a parade not transferred directly to the hand of a spectator. This shall include, but not be limited to, persons on horseback.

Parade participants, spectators, and the public are prohibited from disembarking from or attempting to board a moving vehicle during a parade.

All combination truck and trailer parade floats have a maximum capacity regarding personnel. The towing vehicle has a maximum capacity of 10 persons in the body of the vehicle and must have one (1) adult over the age of twenty-one (21) for general supervision. The towing trailer has a maximum capacity of twenty (20) persons with two (2) adults over the age of twenty-one (21) for supervision and they must be placed at the front and rear of the trailer.

All participants must keep arms and legs within the truck and trailer boundaries and are not to extend beyond.

All persons located in the towing vehicle and the trailer vehicle must be firmly seated. Standing personnel must have and use a firmly attached handrail.

All parade participants must sign a statement of indemnification regarding the release and indemnification of the City of Llano & Llano Chamber of Commerce for any damages or injuries arising from participation in a parade. This release and indemnification must be made on the form provided by the City of Llano.

INDEMNIFICATION An Applicant and or the sponsors, and/or any other individual or entity reasonably required by the City, must execute a written indemnity agreement, in the form and substance required by the City, indemnifying and holding harmless, the City and its officers and employees and parties in interest with the City against all claims, damages, or causes of action arising from the parade or Application resulting in injuring, damage or death to persons or property, whether public or private. The Application shall take all reasonable measures necessary to protect the parade participants. Insurance shall be furnished prior to the parade and when required by the City Manager or the City Manager’s designee in the form, substance, and limits required by the City Manager or the City Manager’s designee.
